The development of the pistol began in the armory of Carl Walther GmbH in 1994. It reached its market free in 1996. Police and military worldwide use the Walther P99 - one of the most modern and innovative handguns of today.
For example, in 2005, 42000 units were delivered to the police in North Rhine-Westphalia. In 2008, the authorities of the states of Bremen, Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein decided to introduce a new service pistol, for the police to replace the Sig Sauer P225. But its most famous fan is secret agent of Her English Majesty and always relies on "his" Walther P99 in his movie adventures.
The replica of the Walther P99 hardly differs from the legendary original. The most striking feature is the lack of a hammer, the weapon has an internal firing pin instead. The cocking status can be seen and felt by a rear signal pin at the top rear end of the weapon. The double-row magazine, which holds 15 rounds in 9 mm P.A.K. caliber, has a high firing efficiency.
Safety is ensured by the decocking trigger located at the rear end of the bolt, which can be pressed to decock the firing pin when the gun is fully loaded. However, the pistol remains ready for use after decocking via the double action trigger. The pistol is blued black and the polymer grip is also exemplary in the same color to match the gun. The pistol makes an excellent impression both technically and visually - as does the very well finished interior. Since most components are easily accessible, cleaning does not pose any major problems either.
