The Heckler & Koch UPS .45 with an additional safety against unauthorized access.

A modified variant of the USP has been introduced in the German Armed Forces under the name P8. The USP .45 was developed and designed specifically for military and government tasks. It is used not only by the US military but also in the corresponding correctional facilities of various countries.

The softair pistol is a replica of the Heckler & Koch USP 45, the high level of detail makes not only softair collectors hearts beat faster. The very convincing performance makes the KWA USP 45 an excellent backup pistol for the soft-air game. It is powered by blow-back gas that is filled into the magazine, and the magazine also holds 25 rounds in 6mm BB caliber. The maximum energy varies depending on the gas at up to 1 joule.

Furthermore, the Soft-Air has a blow-back system, which not only allows the slide to repetition realistically with each shot, but also reloads the next bullet at the same time. In the New-Structure-2 system, the nozzle, blowback unit, piston and valve in the magazine have been improved. In addition, the BB feeder of the softair has been revised. It has become a bit longer and now pushes the slide catch lever all the way up.

The adjustable hop-up system, in conjunction with the very cleanly manufactured inner barrel, results in first-class shot patterns even at a distance much greater than 20 meters. Due to this fact, the KWA softair pistol is extremely popular and does not take one of the coveted top positions in this weapon genre for nothing. Furthermore, the pistol has a combined single / double action trigger. In this case, it can be fired with cocked and uncocked hammer.

To protect against unauthorized use of the weapon, a screw was installed in the magazine well, which is operated with a special key. If the screw is turned 90°, the softair can no longer be cocked, loaded or fired.

Soft-air weapons with an energy over 0.5 joules are subject to the Firearms Act and must have an 'F' marking in the pentagon. The purchase, possession and transport of the weapons is allowed to adults without a firearms license. However, they are subject to the ban on carrying (§42 a WaffG).
